Phenolic L is an economy grade cotton cloth phenolic material used primarily in mechanical applications where electrical insulation is not needed.  L grade phenolic has superior impact strength, low moisture / water absorption and excellent mechanical stability.  Phenolic L is compliant with MIL I 24678 - 15 / TYPE FBI and is used in gears, washers, bearings and structural applications.
